Two men are in custody Tuesday night after a brief standoff in central Sioux Falls.
Police responded to a shots fired call at 14th Street and Spring Avenue shortly before 5 p.m. Tuesday. Sioux Falls Police and the Minnehaha County Sheriff's Department were quick to the scene to surround the home with rifles drawn.
At approximately 5 p.m, the first man surrendered himself to police and was arrested. Another man refused to leave the home, but was convinced to come out after several minutes of negotiations.
Police say that the two men were fighting and that a shot was fired into the air. Larry Loebig is charged with reckless discharge of a firearm.
Alcohol is said to be involved.
