SF Native Debuts Sports Radio Show

October 22, 2012, 10:35 PM by Jim Madalinsky

SF Native Debuts Sports Radio Show
SIOUX FALLS, SD -

Sioux Falls native Jeff Thurn has seen it all in the sports radio world. From Super Bowls to Final Fours, the Roosevelt grad has built quite the rolodex, and now he's bringing it back to Sioux Falls on a daily basis.

"I get the opportunity to kind of bring a fresh face to the market and with my experience at Sirius XM, with the NFL, the pro teams down in Nashville I bring a lot of guests you'd typically wouldn't get in the Sioux Falls market on a daily basis," Jeff Thurn said.

Thurn spent the last 3 years crafting his skills in Nashville, but when the opportunity to return home presented itself. It was too good to pass up.

"Overtime with Jeff Thurn" began as a weekly show a few months back, but now Thurn's show will be a daily fixture on ESPN 99.1 from 4-7pm.

"It is fun to get back out there and it's really a blessing to be back here in Sioux Falls and in the Sioux Empire to hopefully bring a fresh face to the market and make an impact in sports around here. That's my main goal," Thurn said.

And while his show will feature guests from around the nation, Thurn says there will be plenty of opportunities to get involved.

"We get a lot of opportunities for local listeners to tweet questions for these guys and now that we're on a daily show we'll open up the phone lines to have interaction between not only me and the listeners, but the listeners and guests," Thurn said.
