The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly two-vehicle crash south of Spencer.
Authorities say 65-year-old Dorothy Nipp of Omaha was driving a Lexus northbound on 431st Avenue just before 2 p.m. Wednesday when she stopped at the stop sign at Highway 38.
Ward Ross, 43, of Sioux Falls was driving a Corsica westbound on Highway 38 when it collided with the Lexus. Both vehicles rolled into the northwest ditch.
Ross was not wearing a seat belt and died. The Dorothy Nipp and her passenger, 79-year-old Patrick Nipp, had minor injuries.
