Shuttle Service Offered For Janklow Funeral
January 17, 2012, 9:52 PM
SIOUX FALLS, SD -
Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls is the site for Bill Janklow's funeral. It's located near the intersection of West 33rd Street and South Summit Avenue.
Those attending Wednesday's funeral service will have to use the south door of the church. The church can hold up to 2,300 people, but parking may be limited.
To handle the large crowd, additional parking is available near Augustana College's Elmen Center on the corner of 33rd Street and Grange Avenue. Funeral attendees are asked to park on the south side of the Elmen Center. A shuttle service will start to pick people up in that lot at 8:30 a.m. and run until the funeral service starts at 10:30 a.m. Return shuttle trips will also be available following the funeral. Riding the shuttle will be free of charge.
Because the funeral is open to the public, planners aren't exactly sure what to expect for a turnout, that's why they're planning for a capacity crowd and suggest guests arrive before the 10:30 scheduled start time.
For those who can't make it to the funeral, KELO TV and KELOLAND.com will have live coverage of the service starting at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday.
