SFPD Has Free Medication Drop Box

The Sioux Falls Police Department has a drop box in the lobby of the Law Enforcement Center for residents to safely dispose of their unwanted or unused medications.

The box is for any pills, chemo or needles. No liquid is accepted.

Many are unsure of how to rid their home of unwanted medication. Not disposing of medication properly can cause environmental concerns. If flushed or thrown away, medication can contaminate water systems.

There are no forms to fill out and no questions are asked. The Law Enforcement Center is located at 320 West Fourth Street and is open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
