It was a big weekend for youth hockey in Sioux Falls. The Sioux Falls Flyers Bantam Level teams, players 14-15 years old, participated in two different state tournaments. The first, the State Bantam A Tournament was held in Sioux Falls. The Bantam A team faced the Brookings Rangers for the Championship Sunday afternoon. In a closely fought game, the Sioux Falls Flyers prevailed to win the championship game with a score of 2-1.
Sioux Falls fields two Bantam B teams and both participated in the South Dakota Bantam B tournament in Sioux Center, IA. The Bantam Orange Team faced the Bantam White team in the Championship game. The Bantam Orange team won the contest 3-2.
