The Sioux Falls downtown YMCA is unveiling plans for the north side of its building to members on Tuesday.
The project called, “New Day New YMCA” calls for a new entrance to the north on Minnesota Avenue, new locker rooms and new cardio and exercise studios on the second level.
Current racquetball courts will be updated, but the double gymnasium of the third floor will stay.
The plans also include converting the south side of the building into affordable housing units.
The YMCA is working with Lloyd Companies on those plans and a timeline for construction.
You can view the attached PDF for a detailed floor plan and the pictures below are the drawing being presented on Tuesday.
