SF Road Construction Projects Announced

SF Road Construction Projects Announced

Grange Avenue From 28th To 29th Street

Beginning on Thursday, May 29, construction crews will be performing street and utility work on Grange Avenue from 28th Street to 29th Street. Traffic will be shifted but will be maintained in both directions at all times. The use of flaggers may be required at times to maintain traffic.

This work is anticipated to be finished in approximately one week. Drivers are urged to use caution and reduce their speed while travelling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.

 

Rescheduled Bike Trail Closure

The bike trail closure originally scheduled to begin on Tuesday, May 27, has been rescheduled.

Beginning on Monday, June 2, 2014. the bike trail near the Big Sioux Pumping Station north of the Sioux Falls Regional Airport will be closed. The existing trail will be excavated to install new electrical lines for the relocation of a generator. The detour route will be on the paved service road directly adjacent to the existing bike trail with detour signage in place.

The bike trail will be back open by Friday, June 6, 2014. 

 

Technology Drive From Valhalla Boulevard And 53rd Street

Beginning Wednesday, May 28, construction crews will be working on Technology Drive between Valhalla Boulevard and 53rd Street. Work will consist of sanitary sewer repairs and concrete curb and gutter repairs. Traffic will be detoured around the work area on Louise Avenue and 49th Street.

Work is expected to be completed within two weeks with favorable working conditions. Drivers are urged to use caution and reduce their speed while travelling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.
