A Sioux Falls mother and daughter have pleaded guilty to federal conspiracy charges to distribute marijuana.
Faith Rasmussen, 21, and her 55-year-old mother Theresa Rasmussen admit they were bringing marijuana from California to South Dakota and distributing it to co-conspirators to sell in the state.
Faith Rasmussen was the girlfriend of 20-year-old Jordan LeBeau who was shot to death in his northwest Sioux Falls home in December after Rasmussen’s associates recruited two Watertown teens to ‘rip’ LeBeau of thousands of dollars.

In court Wednesday morning Theresa Rasmussen broke down crying as she pleaded guilty to the federal conspiracy charge. After court Rasmussen and her attorney had no comment on the plea or LeBeau’s connection to the conspiracy.
Theresa Rasmussen faces up to five years in prison.
Faith Rasmussen also pleaded guilty to money laundering and faces up to 50 years in prison. Faith Rasmussen is scheduled to appear in court to enter her plea on Tuesday.
