SF Man Admits To Raping Six-Year-Old Girl

Thirty-year-old Christopher Hartford of Sioux Falls is accused of raping a six-year-old girl in a Sioux Falls motel on numerous occassions earlier this month.

We want to warn you, some of the information in this case is very graphic and offensive.

Hartford walked to court in shackles and chains. He's charged with multiple counts, including first degree rape and now could spend the rest of his life in prison. 

The alleged crimes happened at this motel on West 12th Street, while the victim's mother was at work.

Court papers reveal disturbing details of the alleged crimes, but they are too heinous and graphic to share. We can tell you, they're alleged to have happened many times in the shower of the motel.

Police found out about the rape after the little girl told a friend at school that Hartford was having sex with her. That student told a teacher and the teacher notified the school administration that same day.  

According to court papers, the six-year-old victim had even told her mother and her mother told her to tell Hartford no. She even told investigators that Hartford would show her movies on TV and that she watched people having sex on his phone.

When questioned by police two days ago, Hartford confirmed the girl's story and confessed to the crimes.

Bond for Hartford was set at $250,000 cash only.
