SF Food Pantry Still Needs More Turkeys
November 3, 2011, 5:15 PM
SIOUX FALLS, SD - The Sioux Falls Food Pantry has a lot to be thankful for Thursday evening.
Wednesday night on KELOLAND News at 5 we took you inside the pantry's cooler.
With just weeks until the holiday, there wasn't a single Thanksgiving turkey. Thursday night, it's a much different situation.
Manager Dick Baird tells us people immediately started dropping off turkeys and businesses are pledging money to make sure families in need enjoy a thanksgiving meal.
Baird appreciates the support but says with the recent decline in donations, they need as much help as they can get.
