Crews are investigating the cause of a Sioux Falls house fire in subzero temperatures.
Fire officials say crews were called to a home near the intersection of 12th Street and Bahnson Avenue around 3:15 a.m. on Monday.
When firefighters arrived on scene they found a roof over a patio and the deck attached to the house were on fire. Firefighters also found insulation burning in the attic.
Although it only took crews 15 minutes to put out the fire, investigators remained on the scene for more than three hours removing smoldering insulation.
Fighting fire in the subzero elements is difficult, but fire crews are taking every precaution to ensure everyone's safety.
No one was injured in the fire.
