SF Church Holding Rummage Sale With A Twist

July 25, 2014, 5:04 PM

SF Church Holding Rummage Sale With A Twist
SIOUX FALLS, SD -

The Messiah New Hope Lutheran Church is holding a rummage sale with a twist. Rather than raise money everything is free.

This year the church has more to give away than ever before.

There are so many donated items the multi-purpose room is packed with everything from bedding and clothes to furniture.

Church members say people always seem to need help this time of year.

"Anybody that has a need. We don’t limit it. We don’t ask questions. We hope that people don’t come who want to come and get stuff to re-sell. That’s not the reason we do this. But if you have a disaster, I mean we know people in Garretson had basements ruined, we know that people in Canton had basements ruined. Yes those people are certainly welcome,” Volunteer Carol Dreke said.

Saturday's free sale goes from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. and will be followed by a block party from 5 until 7 p.m.

The Messiah New Hope Lutheran Church is located at 5001 E. Madison St. in Sioux Falls.
