Severe Weather Possible This Weekend

Severe Weather Possible This Weekend

Another round of showers and thunderstorms are on the way to KELOLAND. Some places could see severe weather this weekend. Severe weather like high straight line winds, large hail and we can't completely rule out tornadoes.

Friday morning, the Storm Prediction Center issued a Slight chance for severe storms for a good portion of the eastern side of KELOLAND with a Moderate risk for severe weather to the south in Nebraska. The storms look to start in the late afternoon on Saturday, in the heat of the day and most of the severe weather looks to be contained in the evening and possibly overnight hours.

So now is the time to plan and practice your severe weather procedures. Make sure you have the KELOLAND Storm Tracker App installed on your phone and be sure to set it up to notify you when severe weather is in the area as that can be a great tool to add to your severe weather preparedness check list.
