Several Storms Come For Weekend

It's been several months since people could hit the slopes at Great Bear, but it looks like snow will finally return in the next 48 hours.

We'll be tracking bands of snow forming parallel to Interstate 90.

There are many factors we'll be watching, including temperatures and location.

One of the latest models show the snow bands are a few miles north of where they were earlier this week. It also shows the system carrying less moisture.

Some isolated areas north of Pierre could still see more than four inches but most areas will see less. And outside of the peak areas, the moisture cutoff should be quick. 

Most of what we've seen so far looks menacing on radar but little moisture has actually reached the ground because dew points are very low.

But, cold north winds will arrive after the snow flies. Then more wintry weather looks to be on the way later this weekend.
