Several Roads In Repair Following Storms

June 25, 2014, 6:02 AM by Brittany Larson

Several Roads In Repair Following Storms

State officials say water is receding and repairs are starting to be made on several state highways in South Dakota.

  • Highway 46 east of Beresford at the Iowa state line has been temporarily repaired with gravel and was re-opened yesterday.

  • Highway 19A south of Centerville and Highway 46 from the Centerville corner east one mile towards Beresford remains closed for the time being. Repairs on these two roads have begun and officials are anticipating re-opening these roads within a week, weather permitting.

  • Water has receded on Highway 48 at the Iowa state line, Highway 19 south of Centerville, and Highway 46 west of Highway 19. Crews are working on repairs and will have these roads open soon.

  • Highway 34 in Meade County, east of Howes, remains closed at this time.
