Seven-Year-Old Dies In One Vehicle Crash
SCOTLAND, SD -

A seven-year-old is dead after a one vehicle crash on Highway 25 near Scotland on Friday.

Seven-year-old Kirstan Roubideaux was a passenger in an Oldsmobile Cutlass being driven by 28-year-old Stephanie Hamilton. The Cutlass left the road hitting a field approach and rolled.

Roubideaux and another passenger, five-year-old Colton Roubideaux were not wearing seatbelts and were thrown from the vehicle.

Kirstan died at the scene. Colton was taken to a Scotland hospital with life threatening injuries.

Hamilton was thrown into the backseat during the crash. She was able to flag down a passing car who contacted emergency personnel.

No further information is available.

The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating.
