Senator Accepting Applications For Internships
February 12, 2012, 10:17 AM
SIOUX FALLS, SD -
Sen. Tim Johnson is accepting applications for summer and fall internship positions in his Sioux
Falls, Rapid City, Aberdeen and Washington, D.C., offices.
The South Dakota senator says the internships provide students with a chance to gain insight and first-hand knowledge of the federal government.
Johnson says Washington-based interns can attend hearings, research issues for projects and work with the office administrative staff.
Press interns work on tracking media coverage, organizing clips and writing releases.
Interns in the state offices assist staff with special events, constituent casework and administrative functions.
