Sen. John Thune
SIOUX FALLS, SD -
Sen. John Thune says Bill Janklow was a larger-than-life figure, and few South Dakotans have had a more profound impact on the state.
Janklow, who served as South Dakota's Governor for 16 years and represented the state in Congress, died Thursday at the age of 72.
Thune says Janklow fought for his clients in the courtroom and for his state in the public arena, and nobody could equal his level of energy.
