A search is under way for a prison inmate that didn’t return to his minimum unit Friday afternoon.
Inmate Phillip Black Bear didn’t come back to the Rapid City Minimum Unit after he spent Friday afternoon job searching for work release employment.
Thirty-four-year-old Black Bear is Native American with black hair and brown eyes. He’s 5’11” and weighs about 225 pounds.
Black Bear is serving two consecutive nine year, nine month sentences for vehicular homicide.
