South Dakota authorities are looking for a man who is armed and dangerous while the Division of Criminal Investigation looks into a homicide near Chamberlain.
Authorities have been on the scene since Thursday morning and just released some of the first details about the investigation around 5 p.m.
Law enforcement is searching for 36-year-old Kent Davidson of Sioux Falls in connection with a death investigation in Brule County. Authorities say Davidson is also wanted for a parole violation.
Davidson walked away from the state penitentiary in Sioux Falls back in April 2011, but was found three days later. He was listed as a parole absconder by the South Dakota Department of Corrections in October.
Davidson is 5'10" tall and weighs 160 pounds. Authorities say he currently has a full goatee and has several tattoos. There is a skull, roses and a dagger on his left arm. His right arm has a tattoo of a skull, a scorpion, a heart and the phrase E-L-R forever. There is also a scorpion on the back of his neck.
Davidson is believed to be driving a white, 2005 Chrysler Sebring with South Dakota license plate 8CT345.
