The South Dakota State University Jackrabbit men tip off against the University of Michigan Wolverines Thursday at 6:15 p.m. central time.
After years of transition, this is State's second straight trip to the big dance.
For senior forward and Madison native Tony Fiegen, he's followed the program's struggles before he chose to be a Jackrabbit and now he's proud to see the team where they are today.
"I'm just glad to be a part of getting South Dakota State back to the winning experience. Coach Nagy held tough through the hard times. Just to be a part of that with these guys and some of the alumni is really special," Fiegen said.
Fiegen, a 6-foot-7 forward who averages 10 points and five boards a game, will once again take on Michigan’s biggest players during the game Thursday.
The Jacks will need his best effort in order to advance.
