SDSU And USD Head To Summit League Finals
SIOUX FALLS, SD -

Thousands of fans have been filling the Sioux Falls Arena over the weekend to watch some of the areas top teams match up at the Summit League Tournament.

Officials from the Sioux Falls Sports Authority say turn out for these games have been better than expected. This year they are up 3,300 in ticket sales and both championship games are sold out.

Both the University of South Dakota and South Dakota State University will be in the Summit League finals Tuesday afternoon.

The women from both SDSU and USD are making their home state proud as they go head to head for the championship title on Tuesday.

The Jackrabbit women took on IPFW in the first semifinal. SDSU won 86-59 and are moving on to the final for their chance at their fifth straight NCAA Tourney appearance.

In their first time ever at the Summit League Tournament, the USD women will also head to the finals after beating out IUPUI 82-72.

The top seed South Dakota State men's basketball team took on the fifth seed IPFW Monday night in the semi finals. For the second time, the Jacks came out with a double digit win.

They are now headed to the finals for their second shot at the championship. The Jacks will take on North Dakota State University, who won 55-43 over Western Illinois Monday night.

The women's game will tip off at 2:30 p.m. and the men’s championship game starts at 8 p.m. Tuesday. While tickets may be sold out you can get in on the action no matter where you are at by visiting our Summit League Page.
