South Dakota's 13 information centers along Interstates 29 and 90 will open this weekend.
The South Dakota Department of Tourism says visitors can find literature and posters about businesses, attractions, accommodations and events throughout the state. Travel advisers are also available on site.
The majority of the centers will open every day from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. They are located near Chamberlain, New Effington, Salem, Spearfish, Tilford, Valley Springs, Vermillion, Vivian, Wasta and Wilmot.
The facilities in Chamberlain, Vermillion and Valley Springs will remain open through October to assist hunters and travelers during the fall season. The other centers will begin to close in mid-September.
The department says more than 675,000 people stop by the centers each year.
