South Dakota's upcoming deer season is being adjusted by wildlife officials because of a disease that is killing hundreds of the animals.
The Game, Fish and Parks Department has pulled the remaining licenses for Bennett, Gregory and Jackson Counties. The number of available licenses in Meade County is being reduced by 200.
The department is also offering a refund to hunters who wish to return their licenses before the start of their license's season. They're also asking for continued reports of dead deer and say other adjustments to the hunting season could be made.
