The Oglala Sioux tribe in South Dakota says it is still feeling the effects of the 16-day federal government shutdown that ended a week ago.
The tribe says nearly 200 furloughed workers are still out of work, and 192 employees are still working with reduced hours.
Tribal Secretary Rhonda Two Eagle says it could be a month before the government approves funding for tribal programs and services.
She says tribal members are suffering from cuts to programs such as food assistance and suicide prevention programs.
