A South Dakota man has been sentenced to more than a year in prison for assaulting a federal officer.
U.S. Attorney Brendan Johnson announced Wednesday that 33-year-old Theophilus Gary, of Mission, has been sentenced to one year and three months in prison, to be followed by one year of supervised release, for the December 2011 incident.
Prosecutors say Gary refused to turn off his truck when asked by a federal officer, led the officer on a high-speed chase and drove his vehicle at the officer during the chase.
