RAPID CITY, SD -
A South Dakota man who led police on a lengthy car chase that reached speeds of 130 mph has been ordered to serve 45 days in jail and two years on probation.
Seventh Circuit Judge Jeff Davis also ordered 22-year-old Austin Burnham of Rapid City to write letters of apology for his actions last May.
Authorities say Burnham's blood-alcohol level was twice the legal limit for driving and that he also had used marijuana when he led officers on a 14-mile chase. He pleaded guilty to felony aggravated eluding.
