RAPID CITY, SD -
A 29-year-old man who drove his pickup truck into a Rapid City home has been sentenced to three years in prison.
Matthew Holz's blood-alcohol level was more than three times the legal limit when he crashed his pickup truck into the home on June 18.
Pennington County prosecutor Lara Roetzel.says the incident could very easily been tragic. She says Mike and Kim Toliver and their three grandsons were sleeping when the vehicle struck the house at about 2 a.m.
No one was injured, but the impact crushed the corner of the house. A fence next door was also damaged.
Holz pleaded guilty to fourth-offense driving under the influence. His drunken driving charges date back to 2004.
