A former Dakota Wesleyan basketball player accused of raping a female student on campus has pleaded not guilty.
Kristopher Wilson was indicted earlier this month on a charge of felony third-degree rape. It carries a maximum sentence of 25 years in prison and a $50,000 fine.
The 23-year-old Wilson appeared Tuesday in court Tuesday at the Davison County Public Safety Center in Mitchell. His trial is scheduled for May.
Court documents say the woman was extremely intoxicated and in and out of consciousness when Wilson had sex with her.
Defense attorneys have declined comment.
