A South Dakota man is facing felony charges in an alleged carjacking in North Dakota.
Thirty-year-old Matthew Dumarce, of Sioux Falls, is accused of taking a van at knifepoint in Wahpeton on Saturday morning. Authorities say he abandoned the vehicle after a police chase and was arrested later across the border in Minnesota.
Dumarce is charged with felony robbery and fleeing police, along with a misdemeanor count of driving under suspension. He could face more than 15 years in prison if convicted. Court documents do not list an attorney for him.
Police are investigating whether a second person at the scene of the carjacking did anything wrong.
