PIERRE, SD -
Legislators are getting an extra day of rest after leaders decided to push back this week's session because of a winter storm pounding the area.
The Legislative Research Council says the Legislature's four-day session will be shifted from Tuesday through Friday instead of Monday through Thursday this week.
Many lawmakers, lobbyists, interns and pages typically travel to Pierre on Sundays, and portions of Interstate 90 and 29 were closed on Sunday. Officials have urged no travel unless absolutely necessary.
