SD Highway Safety Director Appointed

PIERRE, SD -
South Dakota's 911 coordinator has been appointed director of the state Office of Highway Safety.
Lee Axdahl's new position was announced Tuesday by Col. Dan Mosteller, superintendent of the South Dakota Highway Patrol.
Axdahl will replace James Carpenter, who recently was appointed director of the state Office of Homeland Security.
Both offices are within the state Department of Public Safety.
