SD Highway Patrol Uncovers 980 Pounds Of Pot
RAPID CITY, SD - The South Dakota Highway Patrol uncovered nearly 1,000 pounds of pot in a major drug bust east of Rapid City.

A trooper pulled over 40-year-old Donald McCormick of Ipswich, Massachusetts, Friday on Interstate 90 for speeding. When the drug dog was inspecting the pickup truck, it found 980 pounds of marijuana wrapped into bales under a cover in the back of the truck.

McCormick is charged with possession of the drug, possession with intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The investigation is ongoing.
