Dakota Rural Action, a farm advocacy group, is hosting a fourth year of classes for beginning farmers.
Classes begin in November in Sioux Falls and are held twice a month through March. The classes give beginning farmers a chance to learn about low-cost, sustainable methods of farming and provide information to help them launch profitable farm enterprises.
The Farm Beginnings classes are supported by a grant from the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
Applications are due Sept. 28. Information about the class can be found online at www.dakotarural.org/farmbeginnings or by calling Dakota Rural Action at 605-697-5204.
