SD Elementary School Student Suspended For Toy Gun

BOX ELDER, SD -
A fifth-grade student in the western South Dakota town of Box Elder has been suspended for bringing a toy gun to school.
The student brought the Airsoft gun in his backpack and showed it to other students on the bus. The gun shoots plastic pellets.
Another student reported the incident to school officials and Pennington County authorities were called in.
The student with the gun was suspended for 10 days.
