A Davison County commissioner is on probation after being convicted of drunken driving.
51-year-old Kim Weitala, of Mitchell, was arrested in November on Interstate 90 and later pleaded guilty. She was given a year of probation and ordered to pay $645 in fines and fees.
Weitala apologized for what she said was a "lapse in judgment." County Commission Chairman John Claggett says commissioners will not discipline Weitala because they feel the court sentence is sufficient.
