Sioux Falls didn't get a lot of snow compared to some other parts of KELOLAND, but yesterday's sleet has turned into a slick layer of ice and it's causing big headaches and delays today.
Mother nature dumped a nasty mixture of sleet and snow over the weekend, which made for a messy Monday commute.
"It's going to be hard to get to work, I'm going to be really late today, it's okay I guess, hopefully it's okay," Sara Shaffner said.
In residential neighborhoods, the snow and ice are making for dangerous driving.
"I just don't want to hit any other cars or have them hit me, that's what I'm worried about," Shaffner said.
Shaffner wasn't the only one who was worried. Nor was she the only one struggling to get a thick layer of ice off her windshield.
"It's ice on snow, snow on ice, so it's pretty hard to get off," Abby Held said.
"It took me maybe five minutes to clear off my car this morning. It took me 15 minutes yesterday morning at eight o'clock to scrape all the ice off before I had to go to work," Jennifer Morgan said.
Last week, a lot of us were toying with the idea of an early spring.
But it looks like we can forget that idea, at least until the mother nature puts a stop to this seemingly endless winter.
"I've had enough. I was in California a month ago visiting my sister, so I had a nice break there, but ready for spring, ready for it to be warm," Morgan said.
