Scoreboard Lights Up PREMIER Center

April 25, 2014, 5:30 PM by Chris Dexter

Scoreboard Lights Up PREMIER Center
SIOUX FALLS, SD -

Yet another sign that the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center is nearing completion.

Today, crews lit up the massive center-hung scoreboard.

To give you an idea of just how large it is, the four-sided sign -- built by Daktronics -- weighs 24,000 pounds and has 1-point-8 million pixels.

That's seven times more pixels than the Arena scoreboard.

“From video stats to scoring information, it will provide the events center with that wow factor that will just add to the game day experience,” Matt Warnke with Daktronics Regional Sales said.

Construction remains on schedule, and the PREMIER Center is set to open in September.
