The South Dakota School of Mines & Technology plans to resume its search for a new athletic director next spring when those jobs are typically filled.
The Rapid City university has not been able to find a replacement for Dick Kaiser since he resigned in July.
Tiffany McCampbell and Michael Gunn will serve as co-interim athletic directors. McCampbell is head volleyball coach and senior women's administrator/assistant athletic director. Gunn is associate provost for academic affairs and enrollment management.
Kaiser left for Northwestern Oklahoma State University in Alva, Okla., where he's the head athletic grounds supervisor and director of the intercollegiate golf program. He is an associate athletics director there.
Kaiser was the driving force behind the Hardrockers' four-year journey from NAIA to NCAA Division II status.
