More than 70 newly built homes are showcasing the latest trends during the Fall Parade of Homes. You can tour the homes from 1-5 pm today and Sunday as well as next weekend. Monday's hours are from 5:30 to 8:30 pm. The homes range in price from under $135-thousand to more than $1-million dollars. There's a $5 fee to the Feature Home. The rest of the homes are free to see.
A Benefit Golf Tournament in Colman, SD will raise money for 4-year-old Tayden Grohs, who's been diagnosed with brain cancer. Sign in at the Sunrise Ridge Golf Course & Campground is at 10 am. Tee-off time is 11 am. Dress up in your best hillbilly wear and win prizes for best costume. The benefit also includes a bean bag tournament and kids games.
A Fall Iris Sale will benefit The Journey Museum's Western Dakota Native Gardens in Rapid City. The sale goes from 10 am to noon at The Journey Museum located at 222 new York Street. Bags of divided iris clumps will sell from $2 to $5. Planting instructions will be included.
Activities at the Clay County Fair in Spencer, Iowa include a 4-H Youth Dance; attempt to set the Guinness World Record for the largest practical science lesson; livestock judging plus animal shows; Scotty McCreery with special Guest Craig Campbell & Casey Muessigmann in the grand stand, followed by fireworks spectacular.
Lake Traverse Animal Rescue is hosting a Free Spay/Neuter Clinic starting at 8 am at the Sisseton-Wahpeton Housing Authority Maintenance Garage in Sisseton. The clinic is open to all tribal members.

The longest-running flea market in South Dakota begins a new season this weekend. Benson's Flea Market goes from 11 am to 4 pm today and Sunday in the Expo Building at the W.H. Lyon Fairgrounds. Admission is $2.
O'Gorman and Washington renew their rivalry in the Bob Burns Dakota Bowl at Howard Wood Field. The day begins at 9 am with a Youth Cheerleading & Football Camp. A 4 pm Mass will be held at the O'Gorman Performing Arts Center. Tailgating begins at 4 pm at parking lot E of Howard Wood Field. Kickoff is at 8 pm. Bring two day lilies, plant one and swap one with fellow gardeners during Day Lily Day from 9 am to noon at LifeLight Gardens east of Worthing.
