With summer winding down, there are a lot of finales to tell you about on this last day of August. It's the final Sounds at the Falls free concert at Falls Park. Surfin' Safari plays hits from the '50s 7 '60's beginning at 7 pm at the Queen Bee Mill.
The last free Moonlight Movie playing at Fawick Park in Sioux Falls. The Avengers, rated PG-13, begins at dusk. Snacks, soft drinks and bottled water will be sold during the movie.
It's the last regular Ghost Walk of the season in Pipestone, Minnesota. The tour starts at 8 pm at the Pipestone County Museum and lasts 45-minutes. The cost is $5.
It's day-two of the LifeLight free outdoor Christian music festival near Worthing. The Main Stage performers include Champions Forever, Medic, ATF Life, Ben Christensen, We Are Lee, Ashes Remain, Fireflight, Audio Adrenaline, Josh Brewer, Building 429 and a screening of the movie Purpose.
Registration for a Veterans Memorial Poker Runs goes from 11 am to 1 pm at J & L Harley Davidson in Sioux Falls. The cost is $10 per rider The run finishes at Southeast Technical Institute. There will also be a drawing for two shotguns at 5 pm. The poker run raises money for veterans programs and a scholarship at Southeast Tech.
The Canaries baseball team takes on the Sioux City Explorers at Sioux Falls Stadium. First pitch is at 1:05 pm. Tickets start at $8.
