Saturday Boredom Busters

BRANDON, SD -

     Celebrate Hockey Weekend Across America in Brandon's McHardy Park today.
     The free fun begins at noon with youth pond hockey games.
     That's followed by a curling demonstration at 2 pm.
      Public skating goes from 4-6 pm, bring your own own equipment.

     The Brookings Kiwanis Club is hosting a Pancake Feed from 7:30 am to 1 pm at First Methodist Church.
     Tickets are $6 for adults, $3 for kids, and free for children under 3.
     First Methodist Church is located at 6th Street & 7th Avenue in Brookings.

     Works by more than two-dozen local and regional artists are on display this weekend at the 33rd annual Artists of the Plains Art Show & Sale.
     It's at the Holiday Inn City Centre in downtown Sioux Falls from 10 am to 6 pm today.
     Sunday's hours are from 10 am to 3:30 pm.
     Bids on selected silent auction pieces will be accepted through 2 pm on Sunday. 

     KELOLAND dairy farmers will be collecting donations for Feeding South Dakota at the Hy-Vee located at 57th and Cliff from 11 am to 1 pm.
     Your $10 donation to Feeding South Dakota will get you a pass to attend country music artist Phil Vassar's March 26th concert at the Central Plains Dairy Expo.

     Former WNBA player Olympia Scott will lead basketball clinics today as part of the Healthy Yankton Annual Winter Festival Get Up & Play Weekend.
     Other events include a morning fun run and health information booths throughout the day.
     The winter festival runs through Monday.
