Saturday Boredom Busters

SIOUX FALLS, SD -

     The latest models in recreational vehicles and campers are on display and for sale this weekend at the W.H. Lyon Fairgrounds.
     The Sioux Empire RV Expo is at the Expo Building today from 9 am to 6 pm.
     Sunday's hours are from 10 am to 3 pm.
     Single tickets are $5, $10 for couples and $12 for the entire family.
     Proceeds from the admission will benefit Compassion in Action charities.

     One-of-a-kind cars and motorcycles are being showcased this weekend at the Sioux Falls Convention Center.
     Winterfest of Wheels goes from 10 am to 9 pm today, 10 am to 4 pm Sunday.
     Admission is $9.

     School-aged children are invited to make a Valentine for someone special and watch a movie today at the Crooks Branch of Siouxland Libraries.
     The free Valentine Craft and Movie Day begins at 10 am.

     It's a special day for veterans at the Washington Pavilion in Sioux Falls.
     It begins with Veterans Benefits Fair from 1-5 pm.
     There's also a concert honoring veterans featuring country music recording artist James Wesley.
     The free concert begins at 3 pm.

     The Northern Plains Outdoor Show in Rapid City features a live auction for a Bull Buffalo Hunt and an African Hunting trip.
     The outdoor show goes from 9 am to 7 pm at the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center and 10 am to 4 pm Sunday.
     Admission is $7 for adults, $4 for kids, free for ages 6 and under.

     A Wii Bowling tournament at the W.H. Lyon Fairgrounds will benefit the Sioux Empire Safety Village.
     The tournament starts at 8:30 am in the Armory Building.
     The final round gets underway at 2:45 pm.
     It costs $80 to enter a team of four.
     High scores will win cash prizes.

     A benefit will be held for Scott Rothenbuehler at the Brandon VFW.
     Scott has undergone radiation treatments for multiple tumors on his right optic nerve and he may not be able to work again.
     The benefit goes from noon to 4 pm and includes raffles, silent auctions, plus food and a bake sale.
