Saturday Boredom Busters

RENNER, SD -

     Celebrate National Healthy Eating Day at a free cooking demonstration.
     Learn how to put heart-healthy beef on your table this holiday season during the demonstration which begins at 2 pm at Strawbale Winery near Renner.
     The event is hosted by the American Heart Association.

     The Sioux Falls Roller Dollz close out their season with the Pirates vs. Ninjas bout at the Multi-Cultural Center in downtown Sioux Falls.
     The doors open at 6 pm, they roll at 7 pm.
     Admission is $12, free for kids 10 and under.

      A Chili Contest and Silent Auction will benefit 3-month old Natallie Baker, who's being treated at the Mayo Clinic for a rare form of epilepsy.
     Activities get underway at 5 pm at the Fraternal Order of Police Clubhouse on Highway 42, east of Sioux Falls.
     There's no fee to enter your chili.
     Items for the silent auction will be on display through the evening with the auction closing at 8 pm.

     The Center of Hope Fall Benefit includes a supper and silent auction from 5:30-7 pm, followed by a live auction from 7:15 to 9:30 pm.
     The benefit is at Sioux Falls Christian High School located a quarter mile east of 69th & Cliff.

     The Holiday Studio Tours takes art lovers to eleven businesses in Luverne, Minnesota.
     The tours go from 10 am to 4 pm and includes Brandenburg Gallery, Carnegie Cultural Center and Hillside Antiques.
      You can also register to win one of seventeen art prizes.

     Middle school and high school students are invited to take part in a live-action version of the board game Clue.
     The murder mystery gets underway at 2:30 pm in Meeting Room A at the Main Branch of Siouxland Libraries in downtown Sioux Falls.
     Call 367-8710 to register.

     The Stampede hockey team will skate on pink ice against Lincoln as part of Pink in the Rink.
     They'll drop the puck at the Sioux Falls Arena at 7:05 pm.
     Fans are invited to wear pink, and the Stampede players' pink jerseys will be raffled during the game.
     The proceeds will benefit the Avera Cancer Institute.

     World Market is hosting a Thanksgiving Wine Tasting from 1-4 pm.
     World Market is located at 2804 S. Louise in Sioux Falls.
