Saturday Boredom Busters

SIOUX FALLS, SD -

     The First Lutheran Church Bazaar has a full plate of Scandinavian delights awaiting your taste buds.
     In addition to food, the bazaar also features antiques, quilts, wood shops, used books and Christmas gifts.
     The free bazaar goes from 9 am to 3 pm.
     All proceeds will go to mission projects locally and around the globe.
     First Lutheran is located at 12th and Dakota in downtown Sioux Falls.

     Performance Plus Farms is hosting Horsey Halloween from 5-8 pm.
     There will be horseback riding, plus food, costume contests and games.
     Admission is $5, $20 for the entire family, free for kids under five.
     Performance Plus Farms is located 5 miles west of the Empire Mall on 41st Street.

     The Wobble n Gobble is a 5K & 10K  fun run and 1-mile family fun walk.
     The running begins at 10 am at Upper Tuthill Park in Sioux Falls.
     The $15 admission goes to Feeding South Dakota.
     Lunch will be provide and there are raffle prizes to win.
     Non-runners can get in on the fun for $5.

     The downtown Sioux Falls Main Branch of Siouxland Libraries is hosting International Games Day.
     Families can play board games like chess, checkers and Scrabble in the children's area from 2-4 pm.

     The Mayor's Neighborhood Summit features presentations on neighborhood associations, neighborhood watches, code enforcement, plus neighborhood success stories and a question-and-answer session with Mayor Mike Huether.
     The summit goes from 8:30 am to noon at the Orpheum Theatre in downtown Sioux Falls.
     It also includes a free continental breakfast.

     Local author Angie Barth will read her children's book Snappy the Squirrel: A Lesson in Friendship at 1 and 2 pm at Caribou Coffee.
     One-dollar for each book purchased will be donated to the Ronald McDonald House.
     Caribou Coffee is located at 28th & Minnesota in Sioux Falls.

     Teaching Life Lessons Through Horsemanship is a clinic being held at the Double HP/New Hope Horse Shelter near Crooks.
     The clinic runs from 10 am to 2 pm.
     Admission is $10 with half of the proceeds going to the horse shelter.
     The shelter is located at  25337 470th near Crooks.

     The Stampede hockey team takes on the Chicago Steel at the Sioux Falls Arena.
     They'll drop the puck at 7:05 pm.
     Tickets start at $8.
