The 62nd annual Tri-State Band Festival marches through Luverne, MN.
The parade competition gets underway at 10 am on Luverne's Main Street.
That's followed by the Field Competition at 12:30 pm at the Luverne School Football Field.
The Northern Bull Riding Tour Championship Finals get out of the chute at 7 pm at the Sioux Falls Arena.
Tickets range from $15-$30 for adults, $10-$15 for kids.
Make-A-Wish children are special guests during the event
The Fall Parade of Homes features more than 65 new homes in the Sioux Falls area.
You can tour the homes from 1-5 pm today and Sunday, plus 5:30-8:30 pm Monday.
There's a $6 donation to see the two Feature Homes, otherwise admission is free.
The proceeds benefit the Sioux Empire Home Builders Care Foundation.
Voices for Hope is a Domestic Violence Awareness Event taking place at the Hitchcock Park Grandstand in Mitchell.
It goes from 3 pm to dusk and includes speakers, live music, kids entertainment, live and silent auctions and a candlelight vigil at dusk.
All proceeds will benefit the Mitchell Area Safehouse and Family Visitation Center.
The South Dakota Festival of Books includes workshops and special events in Sioux Falls throughout the weekend.
Author and humorist Roy Blount, Jr. will be part of a panel discussion from 7:30 to 9 pm at the downtown Orpheum Theatre.
The Northern Plains Indian Art Market features a tradition PowWow and Buffalo Feed at the Armory Building at the W.H Lyon Fairgrounds.
The PowWow is at 1 & 7 pm, the buffalo feed is at 5 pm.
Admission is free.
Original Native American Art is on display and for sale at the Ramkota Hotel Exhibit Hall in Sioux Falls.
Today's hours are from 10 am to 6 pm.
Sunday's hours are from 10 am to 4 pm.
Admission is $5 each day, $7 for a two-day pass, free for kids under 12.
