Sanford Research Featured In Medical Journal

Sanford Research Featured In Medical Journal
SIOUX FALLS, SD -

The results of the Sanford Project's first clinical trial are published in this month's edition of the prestigious medical journal, The Lancet.

The two-year study looked into the benefits of two drugs in the treatment of type 1 diabetes.

Sanford Research has been working toward a cure for diabetes. People with type 1 diabetes don't produce enough insulin on their own and often rely on shots to supplement their insulin levels.

The research shows that two FDA-approved drugs may help preserve insulin-producing cells in participants with type 1 diabetes.
