Sanford Makes List Of Top 50 Donors

South Dakota's best-known billionaire is getting more national attention.

T. Denny Sanford made the list of the country's 50 biggest donors.  The founder of First Premier Bank gave away $131 million in 2013 and is ranked number 20.

Sanford's largest donations last year included gifts to the University of California at San Diego, Crazy Horse Memorial Foundation and South Dakota State University.

KELOLAND's Angela Kennecke and photojournalist Mike Simundson have spent the past few days with Sanford in California.  She sits down with the man behind the money to give you an inside look at his life.  Watch for those stories one week from Monday.
