Sanford Hosts Third Annual Science Festival

Sanford Hosts Third Annual Science Festival

The Sanford Research Building hosted the third annual "It's All About Science Festival" to help the younger generation get interested in the growing fields of science.

62 vendors of various branches of science, health, and mathematics took part in the event today. There were science demonstrations throughout the day. Universities all across KELOLAND were represented as well. Jill Weimer of Sanford Research believes this event is more than just for children.

“In terms of the parents and the community members, to see their kids engaged with the science and actually push them to continue along that science path to feed that pipeline in South Dakota,” Weimer said.

Jill Weimer estimates that over 5,000 people visited the event today.
